Day 8: The Fortress of Solitude

Reason's Grocery Store: Langley, OK
This is our battleground. This is our sanctuary. This is our local grocery store Reason’s Foods. Even though it is spelled like “reason,” it is pronounced “Ree-sens” We are the grocery store that all the people stop at before heading on to their lake houses and their ski boats. There are times right now where I wished I would have worked at Walmart or Weapons R Us but you get what you get.
I want you to be able to see our layout so you can better understand what we are dealing with. I am one of the world’s worst when it comes to describing square footage and such. I guess that kind of technical information is not really critical to you. I’m not going to pull a Doc Brown and apologize for my model not being to scale. However, for those that do need a clear picture, if you look in the lower right hand corner, you can see the scale representation of a car in the pharmacy drive in and the parking sections along the bottom of the image. I haven’t had a chance to really label all the various areas. I will.
We will get into breaking down the various areas and such but I thought a map might be helpful for everyone involved. I have to admit, if you are going to be trapped somewhere, this place a pretty darn good place to be trapped.
We have more food than we can eat that should last us well over a year. Toiletries, sundries, magazines, books, a video department. The bakery affords us a full scale industrial kitchen with stovetops, deep fryers, ovens so big you can walk inside them, everything you need. Granted, it is a grocery store but we do have a large number of items. It is not a Walmart but we are pretty darn well off. And the modifications we are making are resulting in vast improvements.
This is our home for the next year. This is our Fortress of Solitude.
