Day 40 – Quarantine Zone Completed

With everyone working together, we officially finished the Quarantine Zone. I have to admit, if someone is going to be isolated in here for a few days, we have made it as comfortable as possible. The area is fairly large and we have six bed stations set up. We took stacks of pallets and set them up with air mattresses to serve as bunks. We cobbled together the best towel blankets we could to keep our guest comfortable.
I swiped a pretty good cross section of movies from our video department to go along with that demo TV and DVD player, along with some books and magazines.
And this place is not small. I mean, there is a heck of a lot more room than a prison cell. The Produce Cooler measures 34’ x 16’ and the Produce Prep Area is 20’ x 34’. It is not going to be too bad. Plenty of room for showers and some modest privacy for a bathroom thanks to some well place table cloths.
Mental note: At some point down the road, we need to somehow barricade that loading dock so that the zoms cannot get direct contact with the door, even by accident… Maybe we can use the ice cream and bread racks and some chains. We need to think on that.
Now we just have to get those six souls from over there to over here. It is not far. It is maybe 500 yards away but we really don’t know how the zombies are going to react to this fresh meat out running around on the streets.
Whatever Brad’s plan is it better be a good one…
