I think we missed the
boat when it came to Halloween and given the positive responses to
Thanksgiving, we decided to break out the Christmas decorations. We drug them
down off the top of the cooler where the decorations sit for 11 months out of
the year.
I think it is one of
those things where we are all fully aware that hanging decorations is
completely pointless but it is that hope for some semblance of normalcy.
Sometimes, you need to do absolutely ridiculous and pointless to bolster your
spirit. In doing that it tremendously can improve your morale and, Lord knows,
we need all the boosting that we can get.
Thankfully, Reason’s
was pretty big about decorating the front end, the video department, the
office, and the bakery were pretty big when it came to decorating. They would
just store the decorations away on top of the Produce cooler during the year.
Again, this was
something that we all did together. Many hands made light work, we were done
quick, and everyone chipped in. It was a good thing for all of us to work
together for a single purpose, even if it was for something simple like hanging
up decoration is the common area where we all eat.
I will admit that
there are a lot of positive memories for breaking out the Christmas
decorations. I think we all forgot about the outside world and focused on
decorating for a little bit. I hope everyone can enjoy a little semblance of
normalcy.
